Sometimes it’s good to just escape from our busy lives and get some fresh air on a staycation for us locals or busy city life.
I recently took a day trip to Wellington for a much-needed break to check out the Lakeside Motel for myself.
This Motel is a hidden waterfront gem that I heard so much about and for us, a great experience.
And let me tell you, if you need to get away, this was very impressive for Prince Edward County.

First of all… they are in a great location at, 349 Main St, Wellington, Ontario. A 5-minute walking distance to downtown.
The Lakeside Motel is situated right on the shores of Lake Ontario, providing beach chairs with breathtaking views and easy access to the water.
Wellington is the new wine country of Prince Edward County, just a few km away from Bloomfield and Picton.
Most visitors choose this location because it’s so close to all the wineries close by.

The Lakeside Motel is a beautifully redesigned motel that used to be a motor inn.
It offers 11 rooms, each designed with a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re at a home away from home.
The rooms come with a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, a mini-fridge, and a microwave.
They also offer free Wi-Fi, which, to me, is essential for any modern traveler these days.
The amenities at the Lakeside Motel are just fantastic.
They offer a pool, sauna, and a relaxing deck where you can enjoy the picturesque views of the lake.

That hospitality was a memorable experience for me.

But what really blew me away was the food. Everything was expertly prepared, using only the freshest ingredients.
The menu has a great variety, with options for every taste and dietary need. I would recommend trying one of their signature dishes, like the 5 oz Sirloin or the Angus beef burger with smoked mozzarella.
And don’t forget about their incredible desserts! Each one is made in-house and will leave you wanting more.
