Where to Eat in Prince Edward County From A Locals Perspective
My picks for the best places to eat in Prince Edward County are based on my own personal experiences after living in the county for most of my life.
Honestly, not all of my experiences have been great and I’ve seen restaurants come and go.
There are so many new choices to eat in Prince Edward County now with all the wineries and craft breweries.
Yes… I have my “Staple” restaurants to visit when I go out to satisfy my comfort foods of course.
But if I want to make it an experience, or we have out-of-town guests, these are my picks for the best restaurants in Prince Edward County.
Also check out this post about the annual dining event called Countylicious where local restaurants offer a fixed-priced menu giving you a chance to experience different dining experiences.
My Top Ten Places To Eat in PEC
Coaches Sports Bar
- Sports Bar – Pub fare – Live Music – Patio – Friendly atmosphere.
- Located on 251 Main St W it’s a short walk to everything.
- Coaches have some great food and fair prices! It’s a popular sports bar that has live music on Thursday and Friday evenings.
- The only place in Picton with a dance floor.
- Often have live music on the patio during the summer months.
I’ve ordered many things off the menu and when we go there my favorite dish is the Chicken Quesadilla and a craft beer, usually a Creemore Beer or Prince Eddy’s Cream ale.
Also, the Cheese Burgers and Wings pair well with the Coors Light of course while watching the game on the Big Screens there.
Hint: If you are planning on going for food on Thursday or Friday go early to get a seat. These are live music nights and the bar fills up fast as the bands usually start around 7 pm or 8 pm.
