The Best Wineries to Eat at in Prince Edward County
I’m sure it depends on who you ask but I have listed my picks for the best wineries to eat at In Prince Edward County.
Many offer a little something other than just wine tasting but there are some wineries that offer a full menu and some really good eats!

I have not been to every winery either as there are over 55 now in the county but those that I have visited I will share with you below.
Wineries are not just for wine anymore. In recent years, many wineries have added restaurants to their list of offerings, making them a perfect destination for a day trip or a romantic night out.
Here is a list of the best wineries to eat at in Prince Edward County.
Closson Chase Winery
- Located at 629 Closson Rd, Hillier, ON
- Cheese and salads

The first Winery to Eat at is Closson Chase. The award-winning restaurant at Closson Chase serves up seasonal cuisine made with local ingredients.
The menu changes frequently, but you can always expect some great food to pair with your wine.
Start your meal with the baked brie, and then move on to the roasted chicken with herb stuffing.
For dessert, try the apple crisp with vanilla ice cream.
The menu features classic dishes with a twist, such as goat cheese and arugula tart or roasted beet salad.
Karlo Estates
- Located at 561 Danforth Rd, Wellington, ON
- Charcuterie board.
- Local favorite and nice property.

The second Winery to Eat at is Karlo Estate Winery. Yes, this winery is known for its delicious food as much as its wine.
In fact, Karlo Estates may be best known for our award-winning wines, but did you know that they also offer a full-on dining room and a large food menu?
This is a great winery to eat at as they source the freshest ingredients from local farms and purveyors, and our dishes are carefully crafted to pair perfectly with their own wines.
Whether you’re looking for a light snack or a full-fledged meal, Karlo Estates is the perfect place to enjoy the best of what Prince Edward County has to offer.
For something heartier, try the wild boar ragout or the pan-seared duck breast. And don’t forget to save room for dessert!

TerraCello Winery

- One of the best wood-fired Pizza I’ve ever had at a winery.
- View of their vineyard.
I had heard from friends that the wood fire pizza was good! So we checked it out and it was better than expected.
In fact, it was one of the best wood-fired pizzas I have eaten.
A couple of years ago, there were only a few places to buy wood oven pizza in Prince Edward County.
Now they are everywhere but this was the best I’ve had so far. Many wineries and craft breweries offer wood-fired pizza now. There is patio seating outside only and limited seating inside.
Huff Estates
- Located at 2274 Prince Edward County Rd 1, Bloomfield, ON
- Has a small dining room
- Covered patio that overlooks the vineyard.
- Local craft beer.
Huff Estates Winery & Inn is the perfect place to enjoy a meal while surrounded by the stunning scenery of Prince Edward County.

Norman Hardie Winery is a great place to enjoy some wine and pizza.
This Winery is known for its delicious wood-fire pizza.
The Pizza at Norman Hardie Winery is made with fresh ingredients, and it is cooked to perfection.
They also have a great selection of wine, and you can choose from red or white. It’s a great place to relax, and you can also buy some souvenirs.

Waupoos Estates Winery
- Great view of Lake Ontario.
- Located at 3016 Prince Edward County Rd 8, Picton, ON.
- Restaurant and outdoor kitchen.
- State-of-the-art kitchen and full bar area.
- Farm to Table.
Waupoos Estates Winery is one of the best places to eat in Prince Edward County.
The pizza is famous for its thin crust and fresh toppings, and the pasta is cooked to perfection.
The restaurant also offers a variety of other dishes, including sandwiches, salads, and desserts.
The menu changes seasonally, so there is always something new to try.
The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, and reservations are recommended.
County Cider Company
- Located at 657 Bongards Crossroad, Waupoos, ON
- Has great cider, and local county wine and craft beer.
- One of my favorite views as you can see Lake Ontario.
- Small food menu – The wood fire chicken wrap is amazing.
What’s better than cider and a big ass burger?
The County Cider Company is worth a visit to sample the cider and take in the beautiful scenery.
The food options are wraps, burgers, Pizza, and Salads basically.
We keep returning to this cidery for the outdoor patio for lunch.
The pear cider goes great with lunch too! They do offer craft beer if you prefer!
Three Dog Winery
- Located at 1920 Fish Lake Rd, Picton, ON
- Build your own Charcuterie.
- Wood Fire Pizza.
- Patio seating area.
One of our favorite wineries to visit. They have an outdoor kitchen serving wood fire Pizza and other snacks.
The vibes are so relaxed, fun and friendly!
The patio is nice but we liked the covered shelters outback with some unique wood seats.
The wood fire pizza was very good and worth a try.
We really like this winery because the wine is reasonably priced and it’s never really that busy.
The Miller House Cafe & Brasserie
- Located at 275 County Rd 7, Prince Edward, ON
- Not a winery BUT The best view going – On the lake on the mountain.
- Local craft beer and wine.
- Appetizer menu and Charcuterie.
Lake on the Mountain is a picturesque spot in Prince Edward County, and the Miller House Cafe & Brasserie is the perfect place to enjoy it.
The cafe is located in an old farmhouse overlooking the lake, and it’s famed for its locally sourced food and stunning views.
The menu features seasonal dishes made with ingredients from nearby farms, and the wine list showcases the best of Ontario’s regional wines.
In warm weather, the cafe’s terrace is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal or glass of wine while taking in the breathtaking views.

Casa-Dea Winery
- Located at 1186 Greer Rd, Wellington, ON
- Charcuterie board, grilled wrap, pizzas, pasta, and desserts.
- Check out the giant chess board it’s cool.
Casa-Dea Winery is one of the most popular wineries to eat at in Prince Edward County.
The restaurant is located in an old brick building that used to be a Casa-Dea estate home.
The menu features an eclectic mix of dishes, including wood-fired pizzas, homemade pasta, and seasonal specials.
The restaurant also has a large outdoor patio where guests can enjoy stunning views of the vineyard.
Casa-Dea Winery is the perfect place to enjoy a casual meal with friends or a romantic dinner with your significant other.
Black Prince Winery & Canadian Cellars
- Located at 13370 Loyalist Pkwy, Picton, ON
- Woodfire Pizza outside seating area.
- Local craft beer, cider, and wine.
Black Prince Winery is a Canadian winery located in Picton Ontario. The winery was named after the Black Prince of England, Edward of Woodstock.
This winery is best known for its red wines, which are made from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc grapes.
The winery also produces white wines, sparkling wines, and dessert wines.
Black Prince Winery has a tasting room and a retail store on-site and offers tours of the winery and vineyard.
Visitors to Black Prince Winery can also enjoy a meal at the on-site restaurant, which serves pizza and other Italian-inspired dishes.
