Yes, there is the SUJEO Korean Restaurant in Picton that offers tasty food and excellent service located in a great location.
Recently, I went to lunch at this restaurant with my wife, and honestly, it was impressive!
The traditional Korean food, beer, and Soju are not the only reasons why I loved this restaurant, but the small details made our dining experience unforgettable.
Did you know the restaurant’s name, SUJEO, is based on the traditional Korean word for a set of chopsticks and a spoon?
Join me in this post and find out why my visit to SUJEO Korean restaurant was so impressive.
Main Features
- Small and Quaint
- Friendly
- Traditional Korean Restaurant
- International Beer
- Traditional Soju
- Excellent Prices
Upon entering this Korean restaurant, we were welcomed by the friendly staff. The restaurant and location is not only small but also cozy and has a Korean vibe, which adds to the entire dining experience.
The Sujeo Korean Restaurant Menu
We sat at a table for two, and the menu had a wide range of dishes to choose from.
We couldn’t decide what to order, but the restaurant owner recommended Bulgogi (Korean BBQ Beef) for me, which was the best Korean food I have ever eaten.
The shaved beef was so tender and had just the right amount of Soya Sauce, which gave it an incredible flavor.
We also ordered Sujeo’s dumpling soup, which was delicious also. Although most Korean dishes are spicy I try to stick to not-so-spicy meals and both of these dishes were perfect.
Not only that but this time we also tried the Korean BBQ Pork Ribs, which were cooked to perfection. The juices from the ribs were mouth-watering, and the meat was falling off the bone.
Internation Drinks
As for drinks, we tried Korean beer and Soju, which was a great combo with the Bulgogi. The beer was light and refreshing, and the Peach Soju had a unique flavor that I had never tasted before.
They have many types of Soju, Makgeolli (Korean rice wine), and Asian beer like Sapporo (Japan).
We enjoyed our drinks with music playing in the background, which created a vibrant atmosphere.
The Service at Sujeo
The service was impeccable, and the waitress (owner) was friendly and explained some of the dishes’ ingredients.
We also noticed the small details the restaurant had, such as photos of a Korean greeting on the wall, and the traditional Korean chopsticks placed on the table that added to the overall experience.
Sujeo Korean Restaurant Hours
- Lunch is from 12–3 p.m.
- Dinner 4:30–8 p.m.
