That’s why when I heard about Studio Reale and Tattoo shop in Picton, I knew I had to check it out.

This husband and wife team, Vincent Paolucci and Terri Trickett, along with their little senior dog, Leo have created a tattoo shop that’s unlike any other.

It’s a vibrant, creative, and welcoming space that makes you feel comfortable, valued, and part of the process.

The Studio Reale and Tattoo shop, and the different kinds of services they offer, make this place a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique tattoo experience.

As I walked into Studio Reale and Tatt shop, I was greeted with a warm smile from Terri, who welcomed me and gave me a quick tour of the space.

The Studio Reale Art Gallery

The first thing I noticed was the beautiful art that lined the walls. It was full of stunning pieces of art and each piece told a different story.

Vincent is an artist who works in oil paints and has been painting for over 40 years. He has worked in Florence, L.A., and is currently working on projects in his studio loft here in Picton. 

As I browsed the gallery in the upstairs loft, Vincent came over to say hello, and we chatted about the different pieces on display.

It was clear that he was passionate about art, and it showed in every aspect of their shop.

These are original oil paintings that are displayed in his loft studio for viewing.  He also has prints and postcard-sized prints for sale. 

The Tattoo Shop

After exploring the art gallery, Terri explained how Vincent started out creating drawings then moved to paintings and then a tattoo studio.

The studio was a spacious and well-lit area, with a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Vincent showed me some of his recent tattoo pieces, and I was blown away by his talent and creativity.

What I loved most about Studio Reale and Tattoo shop was the personalized experience they offered their clients.

Each tattoo was a collaborative process between the artist and the client, with plenty of time to discuss ideas and preferences before the actual tattooing began.

He can tattoo any style and has a light hand.  His knowledge as an accomplished artist gives him an advantage as a tattoo artist.

The day we visit a client was getting a tattoo on the back of his leg as a reminder of a trek across Europe on foot.

Vincent does offer “mistake cover-ups,” too so be sure to check in and see what he can do.

If someone had a less-than-stellar tattoo from another artist, Vincent can work his magic and cover it up with something new and beautiful.

It’s clear that Vincent and Terri are passionate about giving their clients the best tattoo experience possible.

The couple is dedicated to making their clients feel comfortable and valued.

This was clear as my expected 10min “pop-in” visit carried on to an informative 40 min visit.

Our conversation led to another service offered onsite called “Sound Healing“.

This was new to me so let me explain what it is and how it helps people.

What is Sound Healing?

Sound healing is a practice that uses soothing sounds and vibrations to relax, heal and de-stress your body, mind, and spirit.

The concept is simple, our bodies are made up of vibrations, and sound waves can help balance and restore any imbalances.

Terri uses crystal singing bowls, chimes, Tibetan bowls, flutes, and other instruments that allow you to sink into deep relaxation as blissful waves of sound flow over you. 

Groups of 2-8 people can book private sound baths.  It’s a wonderful experience to add to a weekend away with family or friends.

Picture this: it’s a warm summer day in Prince Edward County, sitting in a beautiful park in Picton.

You close your eyes, take a deep breath, and are greeted with the soothing sounds of crystal singing bowls and chimes.

This is the power of sound healing. Whether you’re playing the gong or listening to guided meditation with sound, the healing power is felt by all.

Terri is also a heart-centered wellness practitioner, Reiki Master, and Sound Healer.  She offers private energy and sound healing sessions as well as group sound baths. 

Traveling for many years living on a sailboat in the Caribbean Terri perfected her skills as a photographer and sells cards and prints of her photos.

Outside Seating Area

Studio Reale is in a gorgeous century building with original floors and beams and is a beautiful place to create. 

There is also a large patio to enjoy the summer weather on.

Also, they host “Pop-Up” events on the outside patio from time to time so it’s worth stopping in.

The most recent “Pop-Up” features delicious food from just a few doors down the street at the County Canteen.

With craft beer from one of my favorite breweries Gillingham Brewing to be enjoyed on the patio.
