As summer came to a close, we decided to embark on a self-guided cider tour here in Prince Edward County.
Our itinerary was packed with cider tastings and trying out local cideries, but one spot that caught our attention was Apple Falls Cider Company.
Known for their traditional Canadian ciders, we couldn’t resist trying out their selection. As we drove to the very popular Campbell’s Orchard to reach the cidery, we knew we were in for a treat.

Upon arrival at Apple Falls Cider Company, we were greeted by the sight of rows upon rows of apple trees, and the fresh smell of crisp apples filled the air.
We learned that the cider company uses apples grown right on their orchard for making their crisp and refreshing ciders.
The cidery also boasts a cozy tasting room, where we sat amidst its casual ambiance and rustic decor. The staff was warm and welcoming, making us feel instantly at home.
There are tons of local pies, baked goods local produce and so much more.
We were given a brief introduction to the cider-making process, which included the crushing, pressing, and fermenting of apples.
We learned that natural yeasts and no added sweeteners are used for their ciders, which provide its distinct fruity taste.

Apple Falls Cider Company offers an array of ciders, from their classic dry cider to their fan favorite, Cherry Crush cider.
We opted for a tasting flight and were absolutely blown away. Each cider had its unique taste, giving us a sense of the craftsmanship and artistry that went into creating them.
As we sipped on our cider, we couldn’t resist indulging in some snacks made from local ingredients. We tried the apple and cheese board, which was a match made in heaven with the crisp ciders.
We also tasted their freshly baked apple pie and it was pure heaven. We spent a few hours taking in the beauty of the orchard and the cidery, and it was a perfect getaway from the city.
