What To Expect At Prince Eddy’s Brewing in Picton

Located on 13 Macsteven Drive, Picton / Prince Edward County, ON, CAN, K0K2T0, 613.476.2253, near the present-day site of the Picton Fairgrounds.
Themed like a skateboard, surfer bar, Prince Eddy’s Brewing Co. is a very cool place to visit and one of the best craft beer places in Prince Edward County.
Prince Eddy’s specializes in small-batch, artisanal beers brewed with local ingredients. The brewery’s flagship beer is the IPA, a hoppy, citrusy IPA brewed with hops grown in Prince Edward County.
Some of Prince Eddy’s Beer Lineup
Prince Eddy’s has a pretty broad and creative catalogue. Here are a few of their beers to give you a sense of their style and variety:
Beer | Style / ABV | Flavor character / Notes |
---|---|---|
C.R.E.A.M. Ale | Cream Ale, 5.0% ABV | Velvety smooth, subtle malt sweetness, light hop bitterness, balanced — juicy in a mild way, very drinkable. |
Blonde Ale (Chin Dropper Blonde Ale) | Blonde Ale, 4.7% ABV | Light, easygoing, balanced hop aroma, mild malt backbone; refreshing and ideal for casual sipping. |
Fast Eddy’s Light Lager | Lager, 4.0% ABV | Crisp, lighter, easy on the palate; a good one if you want something clean and simple. |
So Many Friends Session NEIPA | NEIPA, ~4.5% ABV | Fruit forward, hop aroma more prominent, juicy/hazy style; a contrast to the lighter, more subtle beers. |
Yonder Oatmeal Stout | Stout, ~5.0% ABV | Darker, richer, more full-bodied; good for sipping, dessert pairing, winter evenings. |
They also have more adventurous and seasonal or specialty brews: sours, pastry stouts, barrel-aged stuff, etc.
A Brewery With Food?
Here are the food details for Prince Eddy’s, especially relevant when you had the jerk chicken (or might next time):
The food is available “all summer long.” So during the warmer months, when the patio is open and people are hanging out outside, that’s when Order Up Caribbean is serving.

They partner with Order Up Caribbean, which provides jerk chicken, beef patties, and a variety of Caribbean staples.
The food vendor is on the patio at the brewery. So, it’s outdoors, casual, likely served from a food truck or vendor stand.
The brewery also produces a rotating selection of seasonal and limited-release beers, as well as a line of non-alcoholic malt beverages.
In addition to its retail operations, it offers tours and tastings at its brewery location. Prince Eddy’s Brewery Picton is dedicated to producing high-quality craft beer
A Little Brewery’s History

The brewery was founded in Picton, Ontario, back in 2016 by residents Justin and Lyndsay Klebenow.
However, this craft brewery name lives on in Picton today, thanks to a local pub and restaurant that bears the Prince Eddy’s name.
They started out initially, specializing in producing lagers and porters. However, they soon began to experiment with other styles of beer, including ales and stouts.
The brewery quickly became known for its quality products and innovative brewing methods. In addition to supplying the local community with beer, Prince Eddy’s also shipped its products to other parts of Canada and the United States.
What I Like About Prince Eddy’s Brewing
I really like the energy and “outgoingness” of this brewery. I actually took one of Prince Eddy’s CREAM Ale to Cozumel, Mexico, with me and enjoyed it while I was snorkeling.
The beer they brew seems to pair perfectly with action and adventure!!
I was reading on their website where they say, “Here you will find all the shenanigans you’ve always dreamed about”.
One thing I do notice, that I think is cool, is that, on a regular basis, the staff ask what I’m doing the rest of the day when I stop in the buy beer.
They seem to be a popular stop for wedding parties or craft beer tours in Prince Edward County. I say that because I was actually part of a wedding party that stopped in on the wedding day for pictures.

This is local craft beer at its best. It’s a small batch craft brewery located in Picton, and the beer is brewed with the utmost commitment to quality.
They use only the finest ingredients, some locally sourced, ensuring that it retains all of its natural flavors and aromas.
The Chin Dropper is a golden ale: a light and refreshing ale with subtle notes of citrus. perfect for any occasion.
Prince Eddy’s Porter: a robust and flavorful porter with chocolate and coffee undertones. perfect for a cold winter’s night.
Prince Eddy’s IPA: a hoppy and citrusy IPA with a crisp finish. Perfect for any hop lover.
The main reasons we visit Prince Eddy’s Brewing.

THE CREAM ALE – One of my favorite local craft beers. Has slight carbonation and toasty caramel flavour with a light hoppy ending.
I find it to be an easy-drinking ale. Stats are: 5% ABV, 17 IBU, and you’ll find it in many different bars now, which is cool.
The flagship beer for them seems to be the Chin Dropper Blonde Ale because I see it in the LCBO all the time. I personally don’t mind it, but I LOVE the cream ale.
In addition to their regular lineup of beers, Prince Eddy’s Brewing Co also offers a monthly rotating selection of special release beers.
These limited-release beers are only available for a short time each month, so be sure to grab them while you can!
I do like the Milkshake stout and would say you should try it in a tasting if you get a chance. Stats: 4.5% ABV | IBU 11.

When Prince Eddy’s had it, I tried one of their new creations called an Apres Lager that was only there for a limited time, and it was GREAT.
Helped me get through my Poker game.
Introduced it to a few Poker buddies, and I think they bought everyone they made…LOL.
What’s Cool…
They have a 2-storey tasting room that overlooks the brew house inside.
There’s a Ping Pong table up there, too! We enjoyed the patio, where it’s cool to watch the beach volleyball players battle it out.
We ordered from the outdoor kitchen BBQ while watching live music on the patio this past summer.
I have not seen a regular menu there through the winter months, only in the summer.
It’s true…I seen guys out front this past summer, water skiing in the ditch while being pulled behind a car. Loved it!!
