Why we like going to Midtown Brewing Company – MTB and why you can expect.
Located just off the main street in Wellington, Midtown Brewing is one of our favourite craft beer breweries in Prince Edward County for a few different reasons.
You don’t need reservations unless you group size is large.
Yes they have takeout!
If you get a chance to meet the owner’s Paul Lees and Mark Andrewsky you’ll see why I say Midtown is a friendly place to visit.
The Midtown IPA is a particularly popular choice, and the Midtown Brown Ale is also worth trying. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even order a flight of beer to sample a few different kinds.
Midtown Brewery is the perfect craft brewery, restaurant, to relax with friends and enjoy some great drinks like local cider, wine and beer inside or on the patio.
Quick Fact: The brewery was transformed from the old Midtown Meats packing plant into a brewery/brewpub with local fare and goods that’s Open 364 days a year.
Main Reasons We Go To Midtown Brewing in Wellington
The craft beer and food are GREAT and affordable. It’s a Prince Edward County brewery you can eat!
Here is my Midtown Brewery Review
I really like the Midtown Kolsch and it seems to be one of the most popular beers judging by the other patrons around me while I was there.
This is a German equivalent of the English pale ale and it’s great.
I like a light beer and this Kolsch is light with a hint of fruit and a crisp-finishing larger type of beer.
Very low hop presence. Stats are 4.3%ABV 19 IBU.
As far as craft beers go, most of the breweries I’ve been to don’t really brew Kolsch they seem to favor IPA and Lagers…which I like too.
The main bar area is a taproom, restaurant, and retail store all in one. They also sell some local goods from farmers or other businesses in the county in the back section.
The atmosphere is great both inside and out. The patio has umbrellas and picnic tables…Oh Yeah. Inside is a very open concept and you can see the brew tanks, which is cool.
I’m very big on service and every time I’ve been to Midtown Brewing the service was fast.
I like the fact that each server we talk to knows the beer and explains it. On our first time there we bought a flight and our server walked us through each beer.
Midtown Brewery Menu
Midtown Brewing Company is a great place to enjoy some good food and beer. Here is why…
Prices are very reasonable. Most craft breweries I’ve been to are a bit expensive at $8 – $12 for a glass of beer. MTB offers $8 breakfast, $6 beer, and a great Midtown Brewery menu. You don’t need reservation unless you group size is large.
They offer a full menu of food, including sandwiches, salads, pizzas, and burgers. The midtown brewing company is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
There are a wide variety of delicious pizzas and burgers that pair well with the beer.
The menu features classic favorites like the Margherita Pizza and the Midtown Burger. Also new twists on classic dishes like the BBQ Chicken Pizza and the Jalapeno Popper Burger.
The funghi pizza is one of my favorite items on the menu. It is a white pizza with mushrooms, garlic, and truffle oil.
The fries are also very good. They are served with malt vinegar aioli and ketchup. The shrimp roll is another great option.
It is served on a brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, and house-made tartar sauce.
There are also several other great options on the menu, including the chicken sandwich, the burgers, and the salads
There is something for everyone and no matter what you order, you’re sure to be satisfied.
So whether you’re in the mood for a classic pizza or burger or you’re looking to try something new, be sure to check out the Midtown Brewing Company. You won’t be disappointed.
Last time I was there I took my bill back up to my waitress. I thought she had made a mistake and missed a few things that I didn’t get charged for.
I couldn’t believe how inexpensive it was to eat, drink and take home a six-pack.
So whether you’re a local or just visiting, be sure to swing by Midtown Brewery Compamy and give their beers a try.
My Last Two Cents
Midtown Brewing is the perfect place to enjoy an evening out with friends. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, and there is plenty of space to enjoy a late lunch or evening drink.
We arrived around 3pm on a Saturday afternoon and were able to find a spot on the patio.
The menu features a variety of sandwiches, salads, and flatbreads, as well as a selection of beer, wine, cider and cocktails. We hope to visit Midtown Brewing again soon!
Don’t forget to pick up some beer before you leave…I always do.
