A Journey You Won't Forget

Exploring the Waterfalls of Prince Edward County

Did you know that here in Prince Edward County, we have waterfalls? Not Niagra Falls’s size but in the spring as the snow melts this creates rivers and creeks that flow in high gear.

So it’s not just about stunning landscapes and picturesque vineyards and if you’re looking for something to do in Prince Edward County taking a waterfall adventure is certainly worth exploring.

There is a small catch though! You can’t visit these falls anytime you want as they are only open for viewing at certain times a year as they are located on Private property.

The Rotary Club of Picton hosts a fundraiser event where they partner up with the landowners who welcome visitors onto their property. Entry is by donation only.

As a youngster growing up in the County, we would ride our bicycles all over the place and these falls were a regular thing to do on a Saturday afternoon. Looking back we shouldn’t have been on private property without permission, Opps!

It’s a great family event on easter weekend!

If you’re a nature enthusiast looking to embark on a memorable adventure, a waterfalls tour in Prince Edward County is an experience you shouldn’t miss.

The beauty of the waterfalls during the spring season

March is an excellent time to visit the waterfalls in Prince Edward County as the spring season is a bit warmer just before PEC starts to bloom with vibrant colors and renewed life.

The waterfalls are at their most enchanting state as water levels are high this time of year. It’s still a bit early for the lush flora but the gushing water is a sight to behold.
