After spending years exploring every corner of Prince Edward County, I’ve come to appreciate something that visitors often overlook: not all County destinations are equally walkable. While many of our wineries, beaches, and attractions require a car, Wellington is the one village where you can park once, put away the keys, and spend an entire day discovering some of the best experiences Prince Edward County has to offer.

Having lived in and explored Prince Edward County for years, I’ve come to appreciate how unique Wellington really is. While Picton may be larger and Hillier may have more wineries, Wellington offers something incredibly valuable: convenience.

You can walk from your accommodation to breakfast, browse local shops, spend time by the water, enjoy excellent food, and experience County wine culture without constantly getting back in your car.

That’s why I often recommend Wellington to first-time visitors. It’s easy, welcoming, scenic, and wonderfully walkable.
