We had just an incredible experience at this family-owned vineyard and craft winery that produces estate-grown bottled wine.
Yes, it’s small but very worth the stop.
Starting back in 2009, Morandin Wines has been crafting quality Ontario wine from their vineyard in the county in a Burgundian style with minimal intervention.
By focusing on sustainability and supporting the community, this family-run business has become a leader in the region’s wine industry.

The Wine
2021 County Pinot Noir VQA: A classic pinot noir. Hints of French oak barrels light tannins and the aromatics are stunning.
2020 County Chardonnay VQA: This silver metal winner has aromas of apple, pear, and citrus that finishes nice.
2021 Pinot Gris VQA: This pinot has a light acidity and a crisp finish. I could taste light notes of citrus, peach, and honey.
2020 Cabernet Sauvignon VQA: Light aromas of blackberries, cherries, and leather.
Our Wine Tasting Event
We did our tasting outside although there was a small tasting bar inside. The owner walked us through the traditional olde world Burgundian style of his bottled wine.
We tasted the 2020 Chardonnay and the 2020 Pinot Noir.
Both were excellent so we took home two bottles of each.
