Cabin Fever Kayak – 613-885-3896 – Located in Black Creek is Awesome Pike Fishing.
Where can I fish in Sandbanks?
You can fish in West Lake of Pike and Bass using your canoe or boat. The Sandbanks face West lake and Lake Ontario but the fishing is best on the West Lake side.
Pontoon Boat Rentals – Sandbanks – 191 Winns Dr, Prince Edward (613) 393-1095
The rental prices for fishing boats are very reasonable! They are located right in West Lake so the bass, pike, and perch are very plentiful.
Fishing in West Lake was always my favorite place for action fishing. Pike in these waters gives you a good run for your money.
If your looking to fish at the Lake Ontario side of the Sandbanks there isn’t much action there. The most action I’ve had fishing was a big fat lake trout that stunk and I think it was dying.
Shore Fishing Prince Edward County
The Picton Harbour Inn docks are home to some of the best fishing in Ontario.
From springtime, the Bay of Quinte is full of walleye.
A few of us local fishermen know where to be in the fall.
These docks are a great place to cast off and bring in Salmon, Walleye, Trout, Catfish, and on occasion freshwater eels.
Point Petre Conservation Area, is a great place for bass as they hide in the big rock crevasses.
Gull pond out at Point Petre was always great for catfish but it’s grown in now and is not very deep. Now you can catch catfish across the gull pond in any of the inlets from Lake Ontario in the later part of spring.
Another great spot to fish from shore is Black Creek. Beside the old cheese factory, there’s a section beside the bridge that you can cast into for tons of small fish action.
Lake on the Mountain Conservation Area is another great place to take the children. Guaranteed fish action up there.

Ice Fishing Prince Edward County
The best Ice fishing places to go have to start with Big Island. In the winter you are not allowed to park on the sides of the road but there is a farmer’s field that allows you to park for a small fee.
If you can walk or ATV out to the red Bouy this has been the hot spot for years for me.
But like any fishing trip, it can be hit and miss. If you stay out until 3 pm – 6 pm the Walleye bite like crazy on the right day.
Staying out that long means the sun is down already and you’ll need to see to pack up. I suggest buying a few things for fishing in Prince Edward County.
