1. Lakeside Motel

Lakeside Motel is a new business offering quality accommodation in Wellington Ontario.

The motel is just a short walk to downtown Wellington and is situated on the edge of Lake Ontario.

The patio offers stunning views of the water. But I’ll warn you some days get very windy.

The patio does have plenty of room for dining at the water’s edge.

The restaurant serves a range of delicious food from appetizers to gourmet meals.

The patio is lit up very nicely in the evenings and makes for a very romantic setting or just a great experience. Reminds me of some of the best patio restaurants in Toronto.

When we were there, we ordered the oyster at approx. $24 which was totally awesome. The Lakeside Motel patio is a great place to check out.

2. Drake Devonshire

Drake Devonshire in Wellington is a lakeside hotel in Wellington, Ontario that features a restaurant, bar accommodations & beautiful event spaces.

The Drake Devonshire Patio is an extension of the hotel, which allows the Drake to be unique by providing visitors with a place to relax and enjoy the incredible views of Lake Ontario.

Although the patio is small, we really enjoyed eating dinner. I’ve been to the Drake patio for a glass of wine and beer while watching the sunset over the water which is cool.

The restaurant is committed to supporting local businesses, and they source all of their ingredients from local farms and vendors.

They offer a breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu.

I’ve had a few items from the menu but I usually settle for the Drake Burger at $24 with fires. The hotel also hosts various events throughout the year, such as live music performances and wine tastings.

From the patio, you can also sit by the water on the beach with an open fire which is definitely a unique experience to other patios in Prince Edward County.

3. Waupoos winery

The Waupoos winery patio is located towards the water’s edge with a panoramic view of Lake Ontario.

The restaurant patio serves lunch and dinner daily, as well as a Sunday brunch buffet from May to October.

For the cooler months, there is a large inside seating area with views of Lake Ontario. If you visit check out the scones they are excellent.

I’ve been several times for the brunch on Sunday as we live very close and have to say the omelets are awesome!

While outside you may also get to enjoy live music, concerts, or festivals during your visit.

The outside seating patio area menu is one price per person.

There is also a food truck with burgers, poutine, and hotdogs right down by the water, just follow the path past the winery all the way down to the water.

4. County Cider Company

One of our favorite patios during the summer. County Cider Company is a popular family-owned orchard and cidery in Waupoos, ON.

They are known for their freshly crafted hard ciders, and they have a patio with a beautiful view of Lake Ontario.

County Cider Company is the perfect place to enjoy cider on a warm summer day.

The patio is spacious and well-kept, and the view of the lake is absolutely stunning.

The patio menu includes wood-fired pizza and wraps along with a burger, which I usually get.

The pear cider is simply the best I’ve ever had. The County Cider Company patio is definitely worth a visit if you’re ever in the area.

5. North Docks

This is known as the largest waterfront patio in Prince Edward County.

The food is great and the selection is large. I had many different things on the menu, and all have been excellent.

The County Clubhouse sandwich for $17 is one of my favorites.

The patio is situated right in the wellington Harbour with a great view of Swans and many different species of ducks.

Look out into Lake Ontario while enjoying a meal or drink. This is one of our favorite outdoor patios.

The North Docks also has a large inside seating area that is perfect for groups on rainy days.

We go to the North Docks because it’s the perfect place to enjoy outdoor seating with views of the water and sunsets.

6. Restaurant On The Knoll at Isaiah Tubbs Resort

The patio is located at Isaiah Tubbs Resort and overlooks West Lake and the popular Sandbanks.

Considered to be the best patios to eat at in Prince Edward County close to the Sandbanks and for good reason.

The stunning view of the water and sand dunes is a must-see for many visitors while enjoying live music and great food.

It’s more reasonably priced considering it’s a popular tourist destination.

I recommend you try the pickerel or the Prime Rib, both are my favorites. We also order the crab dip as an appetizer staple.

The Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the menu features many fresh, local ingredients.

The patio for us is the main attraction during the warm summer months.

7. Coaches Pub & Grill House

Definitely, one of the most reasonably priced patios to eat at in Prince Edward County.

Coach’s Pub in Picton is a cozy and very friendly sports bar with a patio out back.

They offer pub fare and live music every weekend.

The patio is a great spot to enjoy a great meal or a drink while listening to live music or enjoying the sun.

8. Angry Birds

Angry Birds patio is a rotisserie chicken restaurant offering fast casual dining specializing in chicken dishes.

The menu at Angry Birds features various chicken dishes such as whole roasted chicken, chicken wings, and chicken nuggets.

In addition to chicken, the menu also includes salads, sides, and homemade desserts I found delicious.

The Angry Birds patio features outdoor seating and is located just outside Picton across from the fairgrounds. They have amazing onion rings…just saying.

9. Midtown Brewing Company

This a microbrewery with a kitchen and outside patio located in Wellington.

The brewery offers a variety of craft beers, as well as a patio area just outside.

The patio is also dog-friendly, so guests can bring their furry friends along for the fun.

In addition to the patio, Midtown Brewing Company also offers a variety of events, such as live music and trivia nights.

We’ve enjoyed the fish and chips where the fish is caught locally and served up fresh.

There is wood fire pizza, and flat crust all fired in an oven onsite. You will notice a smell of basil when you walk in, at least we did. Makes you hungry for the pizza for sure.

Although I usually get the burger or fish n chips we tried the American Pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella and pepperoni, and basil. So Good!

10. The Vic café

The Vic café patio menu features breakfast foods, and a lunch and supper menu.

You will find a variety of salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and pasta, as well as a selection of cakes and pastries.

The Vic Café Patio also offers a selection of beers, wines, and spirits.

The patio is colorfully colored and a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family.

You can select from the Vic Café Salad, the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich, the Margherita Pizza, or the Spaghetti Bolognese.

We show up for “Wacky Wednesday” we get two burgers and two beers with salad for $30.

That’s a deal because any burger in Picton will cost you around $20 each and the beer $8 each.

Parsons Brewing Company patio is a very popular place in Prince Edward County.

It’s well-known for its delicious craft beer and huge outside patio and activities area.

They brew their own craft beer including IPAs, stouts, and wheat beers, and have a huge beer menu.

Parsons also offers a variety of food options, including sandwiches, burgers, BBQ chicken, salads, and more.

The patio area has activities such as live music and a play area for children.

12. The Acoustic Grill

The Acoustic Grill is a cozy restaurant located in the heart of downtown.

The patio is a great place to enjoy a meal and people-watch.

The menu offers a variety of items, including appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and entrees.

I really enjoy the chicken wings, probably the best in Picton.

It has a full bar, and the waitstaff is always happy to make recommendations if you’re not sure.

13. The Flame and Smith

This restaurant is a woodfire cooking experience that offers a unique dining experience you can enjoy on their patio.

The restaurant is located in Bloomfield, and the menu features a variety of dishes that are cooked over an open fire.

Flame+Smith also offers a variety of wines and beers, as well as a selection of non-alcoholic beverages.

The restaurant’s atmosphere is casual and relaxed, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

The Prince Eddy’s Brewing patio beach party and a great place to enjoy a few drinks with friends.

They have an outside volleyball net where you can host a game or watch a game of volleyball.

The patio is the perfect spot to relax on a warm day.

During the summer months, they have an outside kitchen and the menu features burgers and other grilled dishes.

They brew their own craft beer with a wide selection of cool beer.

The staff are always happy to help you find the perfect brew for your taste.

Prince Eddy’s is the perfect place to unwind after a long day, and you’re sure to find something on the menu that you’ll love.

15. Flossie’s Sandwich Parlor

Flossie’s Sandwich Parlor has a beautiful outside patio with sun covers on a beautiful deck.

In the cooler months, it’s more of an outdoor living room than a patio as it’s covered in like a greenhouse.

They have a small patio area with rows of picnic tables. The menu consists of sandwiches and salads.

The sandwich options are Flossie’s Famous Fried Chicken Sandwich, BBQ Pork Sandwich, and Vegetarian Sandwich.

The salad options are the Flossie’s Chicken Salad, the Flossie’s Cobb Salad, and the Flossie’s Caesar Salad.

All of the ingredients for the sandwiches and salads are locally sourced from farms and artisan-cured meats without unnecessary additives or preservatives.

16. The County Canteen

A small patio right on the street in downtown Picton.  

A very popular restaurant for locals and tourists alike.

The restaurant is known for its patio, which offers a beautiful view of the downtown area.

The menu features a variety of American classics, such as burgers and fries, as well as a selection of international cuisine.

The County Canteen is open for lunch, and dinner, and also offers a take-out option.

17. The Waring House

The Waring House is a historic inn with a patio offering some really amazing food.

The property includes the main inn, a carriage house, and a patio where there is live music throughout the summer.

You can order from the à la carte menu with seasonal New American cuisine and pub fare.

The patio is open for dining from May to October but there is tons of room inside.

The Waring House was designated as a National Historic Site of Canada in 2006.

18. Inn-Lake on the Mountain

Lake on the mountain restaurant is a popular spot in Picton, Ontario.

The restaurant is known for its patio, which overlooks the lake.

The menu features both American and Canadian dishes, including burgers, fries, and chicken.

Inn-Lake on the Mountain Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, and reservations are recommended as the patio is small.

Although the menu is limited I wanted to share this location because the view is one of the best in Prince Edward County.

The Lake on the Mountain Resort patio restaurant is just across the road for large menu options.

At sunsets, this is a romantic evening setting you won’t forget. The Miller House is sure to impress.

20. Cressy Mustard in Waupoos

Cressy mustard is a pretty amazing patio located in Waupoos.

First of all, it sits close to Lake Ontario and that in and of itself would make for an incredible view.

The menu features a variety of patio-friendly fare, including fish burgers, sandwiches, wraps and salads.

The Cressy mustard patio is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a casual meal with friends or family.

7 Numbers is a cozy little Italian restaurant on Picton’s main drag that’s perfect for a casual night out.

The menu features all your favorite Italian dishes, and the patio is the perfect place to enjoy a pint on a warm summer evening.

Although the patio is small the food is great.

Whether you’re looking for a place to watch the game or just want to relax with a few drinks, 7 Numbers is the perfect place to be.

We always enjoy the Chicken Parmesan at approx. $22.

22. The Royal Hotel

The Royal Hotel patio is located in the back section of the property and it’s known as the garden.

The menu features classic Canadian dishes but is varied enough to allow for a wood pizza dinner or something more elaborate like roast duck.

The patio has a wide selection of local prince Edward County wines and craft beer.

The hotel staff is always friendly and helpful, and the patio is well-maintained.

I would highly recommend the Royal Hotel patio to anyone looking for a gourmet meal in Picton.

That being said we’ve been there numerous times for burgers and pizza.

The hotel is also located in the heart of Picton, so you can walk to the shops and restaurants.

Bocado Restaurant is a Spanish restaurant that has a small patio located on the main street in Picton, Ontario.

The restaurant patio is a cool experience where you can enjoy your meal while people watching.

We enjoyed the Catalan cheese with honey, and bread with tomatoes before diving into the Cornish hen and Argentine red shrimp.

25. Bermuda Restaurant in Bloomfield

The Bermuda patio is a restaurant in Bloomfield that offers pub fare.

Although the actual Bermuda restaurant is located in the downstairs section of the building the new patio is on the street level.

We like the coziness of the restaurant but the patio during the summer is a sweet place to go for a casual meal with friends or family.

When we were last there we shared the tacos and the shrimp and they were delicious. 

I usually get the burger because originally were told the burgers were the best in Prince Edward County and they are amazing too!
